Sitting down at his desk, Anciennan cat Thanu wrote his friend, Nikki the Hummingbird.
"I must return to The Blue Mountains. It is time! Look for me when the first spring rose blooms over my front door. Until then."
Standing in his doorway, Thanu reached up to place the sealed note securely in the rose arbor overhead.
All was in order.
